Company History

Kasco Employees

The company began in 1968 when an inventive marina operator developed one of the first de-icers. This revolutionary product protected marina equipment from the harsh Minnesota winters and allowed in-water boat storage. Kasco was formed to bring this new product to market, and by the 1980’s Kasco dominated the de-icing market.

In the mid-1980’s, the de-icer was modified to create the surface aerator. The next evolution was to add a pumping chamber to the aerators creating an aerating fountain. This line of aerating fountains has since expanded to include a wide range of decorative fountains.

Today, the company continues its rapid growth with support from their strong distribution and manufacturer’s rep. network, the staff, and the surrounding community.

Kasco’s yearlong celebration included an employee centered event that took place on May 3rd that was attended by all employees (including a few from the past), as well as the company owners.

“Over the last 50 years, Kasco has been dedicated to producing innovative, high quality products backed with outstanding service. We strive to provide our employees with a positive environment to perform their work, and the satisfaction shows. Every person here truly cares about the customer. We look forward to future growth and celebrating the next 50 years,” says Kasco’s president, Ray Lee.

The event included shutting down the Kasco office and taking to the outdoors where the staff enjoyed woodfire pizza, a bean bag tournament, longest drive competition, comedian, great company and beautiful weather.

We look forward to the next 50 years.
