Kasco Marine, Inc is seeking a full-time Accountant at our home office in Prescott, WI.

Position Overview

Kasco is seeking an accountant that will provide timely and accurate processing of all day-to-day accounting operations. This position is located onsite in Prescott, WI. The accountant will be responsible for all activities associated with accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reports and reimbursement, and sales tax. This will be an evolving position with added responsibilities as time and training permits. Those responsibilities will include special projects related to inventory management, compliance, and expense tracking. This person will be required to exercise independent judgement and have a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. The ideal candidate will be an energetic team player, who is a self-starter, with a passion for accounting and accounting related activities.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Expense report analysis and reporting
• General ledger entries
• Work with management on year-end auditing requirements
• General Ledger account reconciliation and month-end closing
• Process new customer accounts
• Work with current customers to collect past-due payments
• Cross train to back up other accounting positions
• Special projects

Required Qualifications

• Advanced level knowledge of MS Excel
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent attention to detail and thorough execution of tasks
• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with sales tax
• Experience and understanding of a lean culture; methods, and practices
• Experience with an ERP system
• 1-3 Years applicable experience

Interpersonal communication and collaboration with all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements

Required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
